Plain terms for a small tool. Using RiposteCoder means accepting them.

What this is

RiposteCoder is software for marking and analysing fencing bouts. It is currently free and available by invitation. If it ever costs money, you will be told before anything is charged, and these terms will be updated first.

Your account

• Accounts are for adults. Keep your password to yourself.
• One person per account. Invite others rather than sharing a login.
• You are responsible for what is done through your account.

Your material stays yours

Your coding, your notes and your clips are yours. We store and serve them so the tool works, and we do nothing else with them: they are not used to train anything, not sold, and not shown to anyone you have not shared them with.

What not to do

• Do not link or analyse video you have no right to use.
• Do not use share links to circulate footage of young fencers beyond people already entitled to see it.
• Do not attempt to reach other people’s data, or to break or overload the service.
• Do not use the comment feature to abuse anyone.

Accounts doing these things will be closed.

No warranty

The tool is provided as it is. It is a small project, it may be unavailable at times, and it may contain mistakes. Keep your own copies of anything that matters — Export everything in the library does exactly that, and it is worth doing after a coding session. We are not liable for lost work, lost data, or anything that follows from using or not being able to use the tool.

Ending it

Stop whenever you like. Ask us and your account and its contents are deleted. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or discontinue the tool — with notice, and with time to export your work.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did, and material changes will be told to you by email.
